Arielle Stein

Title: Rabbinic Intern

Arielle Stein serves as rabbinic intern with the Kesher community at Columbia/Barnard Hillel. Arielle is a fourth-year student at Hebrew Union College. She is originally from Long Island, and has lived and worked in NYC, Chicago, Athens, Berlin, and Tel Aviv. Arielle is a visual artist who is committed to creatively helping students explore their Judaism through text, experience, and the arts. Most recently, Arielle served as a visiting instructor at Colby College, where she taught the Song of Songs combined with visual art. Prior to that, Arielle served as student rabbi at Congregation B’nai Shalom in Bristol, TN. She is a graduate of New York University, where she studied Studio Art and Judaic Studies. Prior to rabbinical school, Arielle worked in the arts, tech and non-profits. She was also a year-long fellow at the Hadar Institute. In her free time, Arielle can be found reading a novel, painting, or exploring vintage clothing stores in Brooklyn.
