This fall break, students explored the vibrant island of Curaçao and its rich Jewish heritage. Highlights included meeting the acting governor, who also serves as chairman of the Jewish Museum; attending Shabbat services and dinner at the 1732 Mikvé Israel-Emanuel Synagogue—the oldest synagogue in continuous use in the Americas; and connecting with the local community through meaningful service projects. To top it off, students even took a salsa class, adding a fun, cultural twist to their unforgettable experience.
