More than 1,300 students, faculty, staff, and alumni from Columbia University and Barnard College came together for Mega Shabbat, the largest student-hosted Shabbat dinner of the year, held in loving memory of Myra H. Kraft.

The day before, students gathered at the Kraft Center to bake more than 300 loaves of challah to serve at Shabbat dinner. From start to finish, it was a hands-on experience, from making dough to cleaning up the mess.

On Friday night, our community filled Levien Gym for dinner. Afterward, the celebration continued with seven different post-dinner receptions at the Kraft Center. It was an amazing Shabbat experience!
