The Columbia/Barnard Hillel community came together for our biggest Shabbat of the year—MEGA Shabbat! The festivities officially began on Thursday at the Kraft Center, where dozens of students baked homemade challah for Shabbat. On Friday night, over 1,000 students, faculty, and community members gathered on the basketball courts of Columbia’s Levien Gymnasium for an unforgettable Shabbat experience. The energy in the gym was electric as we welcomed Shabbat together over candle lighting, songs, and a delicious meal. After dinner, we continued the celebration back at the Kraft Center, with dessert socials and a special a cappella performance by Six13.
