The Kraft Center was filled with joy, community, and celebration as we marked Sukkot and Simchat Torah. Two beautiful sukkahs welcomed students and staff, hosting holiday meals and gatherings throughout the week. Highlights included a Sukkah Hop, which took participants from the Barnard sukkah to the Chabad sukkah and concluded at the Kraft Center, creating connections across our campus community. We were also honored to host a group of 30 educators from the Eshkol region (Gaza envelope), who came to explore shared and diverging communal experiences post-10/7, and to learn how diaspora communities build resilience and joy. The celebrations culminated in communal Hakafot on campus, where more than 300 students danced with five torahs at the center of campus, creating a joyous and unforgettable moment.
