Arabic Alphabet Class- The Grad Network

There is a long history of Jewish life in the Middle East, and for most of Jewish history Arabic was the main language spoken. Even today, 25% of Israelis speak Arabic as a first language. In this class, taught by Rosa Snyder, we will learn how to read, write and pronounce the Arabic alphabet and practice recognizing the letters. We will also compare and contrast the Arabic alphabet with the Modern Hebrew Alphabet. This is a beginner class, no Arabic or Hebrew language experience required. The classes will meet over the course of 5 weeks, beginning Monday, October 24. Each class will on Mondays at 5:30-7 p.m at The Kraft Center.
