This is a uniquely crafted experience tailored specifically for first-year students from Columbia & Barnard. During this Alternative Spring Break trip, participants will engage with the vibrant Jewish community and Argentine culture of Buenos Aires. Participants will learn about the challenges and opportunities facing the people of Buenos Aires through interactive site visits, exchanges with local leaders & peers, and meeting with Argentine social entrepreneurs and NGOs.

Itinerary Highlights:

• Experience Argentine culture through food, arts, cultural outings, and a Shabbat experience with the local Jewish community
• Connect with local Hillel students from Hillel Latin America
• Tour key sites in Buenos Aires and learn about the history of Jewish life in Argentina through engaging with community leaders and visits to historic institutions
• Participate in community engagement with local social entrepreneurs and NGOs

The trip includes:

• Roundtrip international airfare from New York to Buenos Aires
• All local transportation within Argentina (including to and from airport)
• Most meals (3-4 meals will be on your own in designated tourist locations)
• Hotel accommodations
• Tours, briefings, and leisure activities
